Directory Disclosure Information

Directory information is defined as that information which would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. Mercy College of Health Sciences recognizes the following information as directory information. This information may be released for any purpose at the discretion of the institution.

1. Name
2. Address
3. Telephone number
4. Student email address
5. Photograph
6. Date and place of birth
7. Major field of study
8. Dates of attendance
9. Grade level (i.e. freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior)
10. Degrees, honors and awards (Dean/President Lists and Graduation)
11. Most recent previous educational institution attended
12. Participation in College activities

Mercy College of Health Sciences may disclose Directory Information without the consent of the Eligible Student.  However, every Eligible Student has the right to instruct Mercy College of Health Sciences not to disclose Directory Information.  Each Eligible Student may exercise this right at any time by submitting the information set forth below.  A student may not use this right to prevent the College from disclosing, or from requiring the Eligible Student to disclose the Eligible Student's name, identifier or email address in a class in which he or she is enrolled.  Please understand that our MercyOne and Trinity Health affiliates request student information from us for the purpose of evaluating employment options for students and if you instruct us not to disclose Directory Information we will be unable to share information with our affiliates for that purpose.
